RICHMOND -- Regional grocer Harris Teeter is opening its first Virginia food distribution center, which will create 335 jobs in King George County.
Gov. Tim Kaine announced yesterday the company is investing $101 million in the facility, which will enable the grocer to expand service in Delaware, Maryland and Virginia.
Harris Teeter is based in Matthews, N.C., and operates in Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
