Megan McIrvin Shope has been named vice president of Winks-Snowa Architects. She has a master's degree in architecture from the University of Virginia.
BANKING, INVESTMENTS
Robin Miller Jr. has been appointed to the Richmond advisory board of Paragon Commercial Bank. Miller, a principal at Miller & Associates LLC, is a certified professional engineer and a licensed real estate broker. He attended the United States Military Academy at West Point and Harvard University. He holds a master's degree in public policy.
CERTIFICATION
Mitchell Ayers has earned his Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Certification Institute. He is a project manager at Winks-Snowa Architects.
Art McKinney has earned his Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Certification Institute. He is chairman and CEO of McKinney & Co. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in architectural engineering.
Carl James has earned his Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Certification Institute. He is director of mechanical engineering for McKinney & Co. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Christian Brothers College and master's and doctoral degrees in mechanical engineering from Mississippi State University.
Brian Crumley has earned his Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Certification Institute. He is a registered architect with McKinney & Co. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a bachelor's degree in architecture.
Brandon Lewis has earned his Accredited Commercial Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management. He is a commercial portfolio manager at Thalhimer/Cushman & Wakefield. He is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in real estate.
D. Cabell Vest has earned his Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Certification Institute. He is an associate in the real estate section at Troutman Sanders. He received bachelor's and a master's degrees from the University of Virginia and a law degree from the University of Richmond.

Murray H. Wright has joined the law firm of Vandeventer Black. His practice will concentrate on construction, insurance defense, banking and finance, and aviation law. He formerly was with Wright Robinson Osthimer & Tatum, which he founded in 1986. After a brief retirement, he has returned to practicing law.

Chris Plyler has been named controller for Christian Children's Fund. He has more than 20 years of nonprofit accounting and management experience. He has worked for the Riverside Medical Group in Newport News and Bon Secours-DePaul Medical Center in Norfolk. He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Christopher Newport University and a master's in health administration from the Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Medical Group Association.

Doug Haver has been appointed principal broker of Home Choice Realty Inc. He has been selling real estate since 2002 and has been specializing in working with relocation clients as well as home buyers and sellers.
Pat Willett has joined Select Properties of Virginia as an associate broker. She obtained her real estate license in 1979 and her broker's license in 1990. She was active in the Fredericksburg real estate market for 25 years and was a Top Producer in the Fredericksburg Area Association of Realtors and the Fredericksburg Area Builders Association.
