Virginia closed more than 50 economic development deals during the first 100-plus days of Gov. Robert F. McDonnell's administration, Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling said today.
Bolling told a jobs summit hosted by the Richmond Association for Business Economics that those deals will create 3,100 jobs.
He said they will generate $360 million of investment in the state.
The deals included the recent decision by Northrop Grumman Corp. to move its 300-person corporate headquarters to Northern Virginia, as well as many that received no publicity at all, Bolling said.
He provided no other details.
