C.J. Hawn has been promoted to associate creative director at Elevation. She has served as art director at the firm since 2007, and has been responsible for leading much of the broadcast work. She is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and Hollins University.

Brenda Kliesen has earned her Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional certification from the Association of Energy Engineers. She is an electrical engineer in the Henrico County office of H&A Architects & Engineers.

Kerry Van Shura is a project scientist at ONE Environmental Group. She will be responsible for analyzing and completing all aspects of environmental consulting, including air permitting and compliance. She earned her bachelor's degree in environmental science from the University of Notre Dame and received her master's degree in environmental science and policy from Johns Hopkins University.

She will be responsible for the strategic planning, direction and management of fundraising for the VCU School of the Arts, including the annual giving, campaign giving, planned giving and major gifts components.
