A Chesterfield County information technology company that began as a two-person operation is announcing an expansion that will create 140 jobs over the next three years through a $1.5 million investment, Gov. Bob McDonnell said this morning.
Networking Technologies and Support Inc. is expanding its headquarters operation and will bring its total number employed to nearly 300, the governor's office said.
“To grow from two employees to a successful company of 280 speaks volumes about NTS’ capability,” said Virginia Secretary of Commerce and Trade Jim Cheng. “The company has built a solid customer base serving the IT needs of health centers in the mid-Atlantic, and with this expansion will increase client capacity.”
Bernard Robinson, the company's president and chief executive officer, said the region's quality of life and skilled work force were factors in the decision to expand the headquarters here.
