Sheltering Arms Physical Rehabilitation Centers is an employer of choice.
The Richmond-based health care provider also is best at recruitment and retention practices and in workforce development.
Sheltering Arms was honored in three local Employer All Star awards Wednesday for medium-size companies, including the top award — the Employer of Choice — for its size.
"We're extremely humbled," said Ellen Vance, vice president and chief human resources officer at Sheltering Arms. "We were just in the company of greats. The competition was really stiff."
The other Employer of Choice winners are:
•Elevation Advertising, in the small company category; and
•VCU Health System, in the large company category.
