Bennie Waller, associate professor of finance and real estate at Longwood University, and Ray Brastow, associate professor of economics at Longwood, have authored a research paper that has been recognized as the best paper of 2010 in the Journal of Real Estate Research. The paper, co-authored with Ken Johnson of Florida International University and titled "Listing Contract Length and Time on Market," investigates the effect of a longer listing contract on the length of time it takes to sell a home.
