If a business person attends only one conference this year, ProcureCon Asia 2011 is the best value, says My Lan Tran with the Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce.
"The conference offers one of the most extensive and diverse education programs for small businesses of all sizes," said Tran, the Virginia Asian Chamber's executive director.
The Virginia Asian Chamber's seventh annual Asian-Pacific-American procurement and matchmaking conference Wednesday will bring together suppliers, government agencies and prime contractors to share best practices on doing business together.
With the theme of "Innovation for the Future: Growing and Sustaining Your Business," the conference is open to all businesses, organizers said.
"Businesses will be hard pressed to find a better conference where they can meet and develop a network of professional contacts, vendors and procurement experts," Tran said. "It's not often that you have the chance to have the opportunity to build their network of government agencies and primes in…one day," Tran said.
She said the One-on-One Matchmaking program is among the most popular of the event.
ProcureCon Asia will be held 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Richmond West at 6531 W. Broad St. in Henrico.
Cost for the program is $50. Attendees can register at the door or online at procureconasia.com.
