The Jeanette and Harry Snipes Team and Greg Baron have been given the Distinguished Achiever Silver Award for 2010 by the Richmond Association of Realtors. They are with Weichert Realtors/Baron & Snipes Co. Jeanette Snipes also was recognized with an award for her 20 consecutive years as a Distinguished Achiever.
Peter Regan has been named Sales Leader of the Year for 2010 by Wyndham Hotels and Resorts. Regan is director of sales and marketing at Wyndham Virginia Crossings Hotel & Conference Center. The award recognizes exemplary leadership, consistently outstanding sales results and the ability to go above and beyond to develop and maintain client relationships that help drive business.
Channy Franko and Lynn Bivens have been given an Outstanding Board Member/Volunteer Award by Homeward, a local nonprofit that helps to prevent, reduce and end homelessness. The award is given each year to a volunteer or nonprofit board member who has demonstrated a commitment to innovative and creative approaches that address the needs of people experiencing homelessness. Franko and Bivens are with the Partnership for Housing Affordability, a nonprofit affiliate of the Richmond Association of Realtors.
Emily Johnson has been given a Beyond Excellence designation from ERA Franchise Systems. The designation recognizes the ERA network's top producers for excellence in real estate sales. She is with Napier Realtors ERA.
The Insurance Women of Richmond has given out the following awards:
•Helen Gray Gaddy Memorial Scholarship: Brittany Camacho and Danyelle Crutchfield of Virginia Commonwealth University.
•Safety Person of the Year: Officer Steve Nurmi of the Henrico County Police Department
•Professional Underwriter of the Year: Callie Stuart with Markel Corp.
•Industry Person of the Year: Bruce Kay, vice president of Markel Corp.
•Insurance Woman of the Year: Laura Vaughan with Seneca Insurance Co.
