Las Vegas proved the end of the road for a group of U.S. Postal Service workers from Richmond.
The Spiritual Harmonizers, who bested thousands of hopefuls on the NBC talent show "America's Got Talent" to reach the semifinals in Vegas, were sent home on last night's (taped) show from the Palms Casino.
"You guys [have] got heart, a great lead singer. . . . It's just too many acts, and there are other a cappella acts. You didn't make it," judge David Hasselhoff told the seven-piece group.
In their few minutes of screen time toward the end of last night's broadcast, several of the Harmonizers were shown working at Richmond's main post office on Brook Road.
"Our heart goes out to you," Hasselhoff told the clearly disappointed group. "It was a tough, tough decision. You're great singers. Great personalities."
This wasn't Richmond's first appearance on the highly rated talent contest.
Last year, Smithfield the painting pig made his prime-time debut but didn't advance past the first round.
