Television cooking star Rachael Ray is boosting the local food supply for a struggling Ohio town.
Ray brought a Wilmington soup kitchen new appliances, shelves and furniture this past weekend. Ray's show also promised to supply food for the kitchen for the next year.
Wilmington is reeling from the departure of DHL Express and other Wilmington Air Park operations, which has left a 15 percent local unemployment rate in its wake.

- Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, the verbally abusive star of Fox's "Hell's Kitchen," has signed a deal with Fox for a second show. Tentatively called "Masterchef," it will feature Ramsay trying to turn people who have no experience in the food industry into expert cooks. Fox did not say when the new show will air.
- Actress Kirstie Alley is going to star in a new A&E reality "docu-series" about her life as a single mom and her efforts to lose weight. The network has ordered 10 half-hour episodes of the untitled series, which is to air next year. Alley, 58, starred in the sitcoms "Veronica's Closet" and "Cheers."
Gospel-music singer Bobby Jones has donated an estimated $6 million worth of recordings to Tennessee State University, his alma mater. - From Wire Reports
