Country Folks Grille and Saloon is now open at 12912 Plaza Drive in Goochland County, in the former location of Manakin Grill.
Billy Via and daughters Jodi, Sara and Heather have renovated the restaurant. They will offer home-cooked, Southern-style food, such as Angus beef steak, meatloaf, hand-breaded chicken and seafood.
The building was originally local favorite Brenda's, owned by Brenda Tibbs, and her daughters will be serving tables at Country Folks, Heather Via said.
Hours are from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Drink specials at Good Ole Hour, from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, include $2 draft beers and $3 margaritas.
