Q Barbeque opened its third location (its second in Richmond) Tuesday at 1070 Virginia Center Parkway, Glen Allen, in Virginia Center Commons.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week. Q, founded and co-owned by Tuffy Stone, also has a location in Hampton.
Last month, Cool Smoke, Q Barbeque's competition team, took home multiple honors at the Kansas City Barbecue Society's 26th annual awards banquet in San Diego.
More than 5,500 teams competed, and Cool Smoke placed first in the brisket category, fourth in pork, eighth in ribs, 16th in chicken, and eighth overall.
Stone has competed on the national barbecue circuit since 2004.

Feb. 28 is National Pancake Day and IHOP will give guests one free short stack of its signature buttermilk pancakes from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. In return, IHOP will ask guests to make a voluntary donation to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and other local charities. IHOP hopes to raise more than $2.7 million.

Chef Andy Howell has opened Camden's Dogtown Market at 201 W. Seventh St., featuring Mediterranean-influenced and scratch-prepared foods. Market hours are Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and dinner hours are Monday through Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday brunch is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For information, call (804) 745-6488.
