Crossing the Line fashion show benefits VCU Massey Cancer Center

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Virginia Commonwealth University fashion merchandising student Brittany Burke has her designs on raising money for the VCU Massey Cancer Center.

As she did last year, she's taking a literal approach to this: Clothes she designed will be on display tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. during the fashion show "Crossing the Line" at the Crittenden Studio (201 W. Seventh St.).

Proceeds from the show, which costs $45 per person or $80 per couple, will go toward cancer research.

Burke began the show last year in honor of her brother, who fought off a rare form of cancer and was able to resume an active lifestyle.

The event starts with a reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by the fashion show.
