"Mafia" and "heart" normally don't appear in the same sentence.
In this case, however, we're sharing a project undertaken by the Richmond Craft Mafia — a gaggle of hearts its members designed for our Valentine's Day Home & Garden page.
The local mafia, founded in 2005, is a small group of like-minded crafty business people that holds two juried shows — Spring Bada-Bing and Handmade Holiday — featuring crafters from around the country. They have a shop at Crossroads Art Center on Staples Mill Road.
Their motto? "Rubbin' out the mass-produced."
Area members include: Bee's Knees Studio, crystal j. silk, Monkey Dog Studio, Nicole Lee Designs, oellem, Phil Barbato, Silver Tree Art, Tasha McKelvey and Twist Style.
Enjoy their creative works, and learn more about them at www.richmondcraftmafia.com.
