Someone fired a shotgun into a house in Henrico County early this morning, shooting a man in the back, police said.
The victim, described as a 24-year-old man, was rushed to VCU Medical Center with injuries police said were not life-threatening.
Officers were summoned about 1:30 a.m. to the 10000 block of Bush Lane in a neighborhood off Hungary Spring Road in the Glen Allen area. One or more people approached the outside of the house and someone shot through a window into a garage, hitting the victim, said Henrico police Lt. Charles Ferrigno.
No one from inside the house saw the shooter, police said, and no arrests have been made. Police did not say whether the victim lived at the house or speculate on any motive for the shooting.
