Man shot in south Richmond

A man shot tonight near Broad Rock Boulevard and Snead Road in south Richmond checked himself into the hospital 20 minutes later, police say.


Richmond police responded to a report of shots fired in the area shortly after 7 p.m. and found nothing. Around 7: 30 p.m. a man with a gunshot wound to the leg checked in to CJW Medical Center (Chippenham). Police believe he was transported to the hospital from the scene.


No other details were immediately available.
