Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe released a new television ad today touting his emphasis on new energy technology.

The ad, which shows McAuliffe in a boat off Virginia’s coast, is running on stations in the Richmond and Hampton Roads markets. It says McAuliffe will attract alternative energy jobs to Virginia.

McAuliffe, a former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, State Sen. R. Creigh Deeds of Bath County and former Del. Brian J. Moran of Alexandria are seeking the Democratic nomination to run for governor in a Democratic primary on June 9. Former Attorney General Bob McDonnell is the lone Republican candidate.
