Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School in Richmond's East End was evacuated briefly this morning after a natural gas odor was reported inside the building.

No injuries were reported.

The evacuation occurred shortly before 10 a.m. when staff members reported a strong smell of natural gas inside the building at 1000 Mosby St.

Richmond firefighters isolated what they described as a minor leak and called gas utilities crews to the school to take care of it.
