Former Gov. and U.S. Sen. George Allen has signed a contract to publish a book drawing parallels between politics and sports.
The book, "The Triumph of Character: What Washington Can Learn from the World of Sports," is scheduled to be released by Regnery Publishing next June.
Allen, the son of the late and famed Washington Redskins football coach, George Allen, frequently used sports analogies when campaigning for governor or the Senate.
In the book, Allen, a Republican, will explain what Washington can learn from the principles found in athletic competition and team sports.
