An employee was wounded last night in a shooting at a South Richmond pizza business, and police were searching for a suspect this morning.
Capt. Dave Martin said the 23-year-old victim was taken to VCU Medical Center for treatment of gunshot wounds to one foot and one hand that were not life-threatening.
Warrants were obtained for a suspect in the 9:57 p.m. shooting, which occurred at a Little Caesars franchise in the 4700 block of Walmsley Boulevard.
Martin said the victim was not working but was visiting coworkers at the store when the shooting occurred.
The suspect, whose identity was being withheld by police, fired multiple rounds into the store from just outside the front windows before running from the scene, Martin said.
No other injuries were reported.
