A total of 111 sheriffs and commonwealth's attorneys announced their support for Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob McDonnell today.
The Law Enforcement for McDonnell coalition cited McDonnell's record in combating gang violence, drunken driving and sexual predators.
McDonnell is a former assistant commonwealth's attorney, member of the House of Delegates and attorney general.
McDonnell made the announcement at the Police Memorial statue outside the Richmond Coliseum.
