Terry McAuliffe of McLean, former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, is launching a Richmond canvass at a West Franklin Street coffee shop this afternoon.
McAuliffe started his day by greeting voters in Norfolk. This evening he will launch his voter canvass in Alexandria.
Former Del. Brian J. Moran is closing out his campaign today with a rally in Market Square at Alexandria City Hall in his hometown.
State Sen. R. Creigh Deeds campaigns today in Danville, Martinsville, Bristol and Roanoke before finishing in Charlottesville.
In addition to a nominee for governor, voters tomorrow also will choose either Jody Wagner or Mike Signer as the Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor.
Virginia has 5.07 million registered voters, a net increase of 38,027 since the presidential election in November.
Virginians do not register by party, so anyone can vote in the Democratic primary. Polls are open tomorrow from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m.
In parts of Hanover County, voters will have to pick either a Republican primary ballot or a Democratic ballot. Three candidates are seeking the Republican nomination to run for the seat of retiring Del. Frank D. Hargrove Sr.
Voters may cast a ballot in the Democratic primary or the Republican primary, but not both.
