Internet use in Virginia

It's a wired world

The U.S. Census Bureau has released estimates of Internet access in homes across America in 2007. Here are the numbers for Virginia:

2007: More than 4.8 million people used the Internet from some location, or 67 percent of residents 3 years and older. An estimated 73 percent of those residents lived in households with Internet access.

2003: Nearly 1.9 million households had a computer, or 67 percent, while about 1.7 million had access to the Internet, or about 60 percent.

2001: 1.6 million households had a computer, or 59 percent, and 1.5 million had an Internet presence, or 55.4 percent.
