VCU grad named CBS news correspondent

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Barely a month after receiving his degree in mass communications from Virginia Commonwealth University, Terrell Brown has been named a CBS news correspondent in its news-development program.

Jeff South, an associate professor in VCU's School of Mass Communications, said Brown, who received his degree with honors, was one of the school's top graduates in May.

"He's a terrific journalist, a terrific person," South said.

Brown's initial assignments are to work with "CBS Evening News Weekend Editions," "The Early Show," CBS Radio and CBS Newspath.

While attending VCU, Brown worked as an anchor on WWBT's "The Breaking News Desk" segment during its weekday morning show.
