»  Comments | Post a Comment

A Richmond police SWAT team successfully ended a standoff last night with an armed man threatening to harm himself in an apartment in the 4000 block of Forest Hill Avenue.

The road was closed to traffic for more than two hours until police were able to peacefully gain control of the man and transfer him for evaluation by mental health professionals.

The incident was resolved around 11 p.m. No charges have been placed, according to police.
