Man shot in North Side, has life-threatening injuries

A man is at VCU Medical Center with critical injuries after being shot early this morning in North Richmond.


Richmond police say the man was shot at 2:30 a.m. at the 700 block of Rex Avenue, two blocks from North Avenue in an area known as Washington Park.


Police said the man was shot in the chest. He has not been identified as police wait to notify his family.


City police are looking for a motive and suspect.
