Another defendant in the slaying of Tahliek Taliaferro is due in court in Powhatan County this afternoon.
Stephanie Reynolds is scheduled to appear in General District Court on charges of first-degree murder and use of a firearm.
Authorities say Reynolds was driving the sport utility vehicle used in the crime, and she outlined the sequence of events surrounding the shooting.
Reynolds was a prosecution witness in the trial that just concluded for Ethan Parrish and his cousin, Joseph "Joey" Parrish.
Ethan Parrish who was convicted on charges of involuntary manslaughter and assault and battery. A jury yesterday recommended 11 years in prison.
Joey Parrish was convicted of the same charges, but because he was a juvenile at the time of the shooting, he will be sentenced by a judge.
Ethan Parrish was convicted of firing six shots last June 24 from a semiautomatic assault rifle at a car in which Tahliek Taliaferro, a popular Powhatan High School athlete, was a passenger.
Ethan Parrish said he lost control of the gun as he opened fire and did not intend to harm anyone.
