Deeds stresses qualifications, education proposals in ads

»  Comments | Post a Comment

The campaign of Democrat gubernatorial hopeful R. Creigh Deeds is airing a second ad in the Hampton Roads, Bristol, Roanoke and Richmond media markets to go along with his spot on education.

This ad trumpets a core Deeds theme: he’s the Democrat “most qualified” to be governor. Deeds , a state senator from Bath County, previously served in the House of Delegates.

The ad touts Deeds as a prosecutor who “wrote Megan’s Law to protect our children,“ and supported Govs. Mark R. Warner and Timothy M. Kaine to “protect our public schools and colleges.“

The 30-second spots also says Deeds has a plan for rebuilding the economy.

Deeds is vying with former delegate Brian Moran of Alexandria and former national Democratic Party leader Terry McAuliffe for the Democratic nomination.
