R&B singer Chris Brown cleared weeds and debris at police horse stables in Richmond yesterday as part of his community service for beating his ex-girlfriend, pop singer Rihanna.
Brown wore an orange vest, white tank top, baggy jeans and red baseball cap and carried a yard tool to cut tall weeds.
Brown, who was part of a three-person work detail, was cutting weeds and brush and carrying the debris to a pile, Richmond police confirmed.
The singer did not speak to the media, but he waved to fans who saw him working.
Authorities declined to discuss when he would be working next.
The 20-year-old was sentenced in California last month to five years’ probation, six months of community labor and a year of domestic-violence counseling for the February attack.
The Tappahannock native is performing the labor and undergoing counseling in Richmond, near his home in Montpelier.
