UPDATE: Nine Mile Road reopened

Richmond police closed a portion of Nine Mile Road this morning after a suspicious package was found near 29th Street shortly before dawn.


Police originally said Nine Mile Road likely would remain closed through the morning rush hour from 29th Street to Creighton Road, but they reopened the road shortly after 8 a.m. when they determined the package was an empty suitcase.
