A man in his early 20s was shot multiple times early yesterday outside a downtown Richmond club.
About 12:55 a.m., authorities responded to a call of a man being shot at Fifth and Franklin streets. They found a man lying near a parking deck; he had been shot in the face, buttocks, upper thigh and a bicep, said Richmond police Capt. Scott Booth.
The victim was transported to VCU Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, which later were downgraded to non-life-threatening, he said.
Booth said a fight inside the Cotton Club, at 112 N. Fifth St., escalated into the shooting. Police have no suspects, he said.
