The House of Delegates today rejected Gov. Bob McDonnell's amendments to reduce funding for public radio and television and for the Comprehensive Services Act, which provides services for needy children.

The House's action will leave about $1.1 million in funding for public radio and television and about $10 million for the Comprehensive Services Act.

Legislators returned to Richmond today to consider the governor's proposed amendments to the state budget and to legislation.
