More snow on the way to Richmond?

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Several more inches of snow could be on the way to the Richmond area.

Two storms appear to be coming.

The first storm should move into the region from the west on Thursday.

"I'd say 1 to 2 inches is not out of the question," said Dan Proch, a National Weather Service meteorologist. The snow should fall mostly in the afternoon and then taper off in the evening, he said.

Another storm, from the southeastern U.S., could hit the area Saturday afternoon or evening and much of Sunday.

Proch said that storm could bring "more than a couple of inches" of snow.

"We definitely have our eye on it, but a lot of things can change between now and Sunday," he said.

A storm Monday dropped 1 to 2.5 inches on the region.
