»  Comments | Post a Comment

Richmond police say a man went to a hospital Tuesday to report he had been shot _ four days earlier.

Capt. David L. Martin said the man was treated at Richmond Community Hospital for a gunshot wound to one leg. The injuries are not life-threatening, Martin said.

The man, 27, told police he was walking in the first block of Crawford Street in North Richmond on Christmas Eve at about 9 p.m. when he heard six or seven gunshots, then realized he had been struck.

Martin said the man told police the pain was not too bad initially but worsened Tuesday morning, so he went to the hospital.

The man told investigators he didn't see who may have fired the shots.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers anonymously at (804) 780-1000.
