LONDON — Prince William and Kate Middleton took an open-top car for a spin, delighting the crowds outside of Buckingham Palace.
William was behind the wheel of the dark blue Aston Martin “Volante” festooned with ribbons, bows and balloons as it emerged from Buckingham Palace around 3:40 p.m., local time.
Kate Middleton, now known as Catherine, duchess of Cambridge, was in the passenger seat of the car, whose license plate was marked “JU5T WED.”
The pair, still dressed in their wedding finery, waved to the crowd as they drove to Clarence House, about two minutes away.
