LEXINGTON — Washington and Lee University is embarking on a solar energy project it calls the largest in Virginia.
The university said it will sign an agreement today with Secure Futures LLC to install solar photovoltaic arrays in two locations on its Lexington campus. The university said they will provide 450 kilowatts of power.
Washington and Lee said that will provide enough power to supply the total annual average demand for 42 homes in Lexington.
