Car stolen at gunpoint this morning

Richmond police report a man was robbed of his car at gunpoint in the 4100 block of Dunston Street in South Richmond at 4:05 a.m. this morning

Police said there was contact between the victim's car and a second car in which the robber had been traveling. Police said no injuries were reported and that they are still investigating.

The suspect was described as a black male in his late 20s, 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighing about 190 lbs., with short hair and wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans 

The stolen vehcile was a silver, four-door, Ford Escort with Virginia tags JGJ 5617.

Anyone with any information about the incident or who knows the whereabouts of the stolen car is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
