Elizabeth Crot, representing Arlington, was crowned Miss Virginia on Saturday night at the Roanoke Civic Center.
Along with the chance to compete in the Miss America competition, Crot won a $16,500 scholarship. Crot accepted the crown from Caitlin Uze, Miss Virginia 2010, who had represented the Richmond area.
Crot won the talent competition Friday night, singing an opera selection. Miss Greater Richmond, Brittany Young, who was fourth runner-up, won the swimsuit competition.
Courtney Garrett, Miss Lynchburg, was first runner-up. Lindsay Morris, representing the Roanoke Valley, was second runner-up, and Shannon Oliver, Miss Greater Hampton Roads, was third runner-up.
The finalists received scholarships ranging from $1,900 to $8,300.
