Know a deserving woman, someone who gives tirelessly to help Richmond's at-risk communities?
Nominate her for the YWCA of Richmond's 2012 Outstanding Women Awards. Nominations are being accepted now through Nov. 7. Candidates can be nominated for their service in the areas of arts, business, communication, education, health and science, human relations/faith action, law and government, nonprofit management and volunteerism.
In all, more than 300 women have been recognized since the awards began in 1980.
The YWCA of Richmond provides recovery programs for victims of domestic and sexual abuse, as well as preschool programs for at-risk youth and child care for homeless children.
