2 disc golfers robbed at gunpoint in Gillies Creek Park

Two men playing disc golf were robbed at gunpoint Sunday afternoon at Gillies Creek Park in Richmond's East End.

Richmond police Capt. Paul Kiniry said neither man was injured in the robbery, which occurred at 1:38 p.m. when the two were approached by a pair of young men who engaged them in conversation before one pulled out a black handgun. The robbers took the wallet of one of the men before fleeing on foot.

The robber with the gun was described as a black man in his 20s wearing a teal green jacket and dark-colored jeans. The other was described as a black man in his late teens wearing a black jacket with gray lining.
