Interstate 64 westbound was slowed this morning in Highland Springs by a brush fire alongside the road.
The fire was reported about 7:50 a.m. at mile marker 197, near the Richmond International Airport interchange, and prompted authorities to close the westbound right lane and right shoulder while Henrico County firefighters worked on the fire.
The fire was extinguished and regular traffic flow resumed about 8:30.
