Richmond investigates East End shooting

Richmond police are investigating a shooting that injured a man in the city's East End on Tuesday night.

Capt. Paul Kiniry said the victim, a 52-year-old man who had a gunshot wound to one arm, was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

The victim told police he had been shot at 6:50 p.m. in the 2100 block of Phaup Street by an unknown assailant.

The victim was unable to provide police with a detailed description of his assailant.
