Midlothian Turnpike's westbound lanes were closed for an extended period this morning by a single-vehicle crash near Midlothian Middle School.
Authorities said the crash occurred just before 1 a.m. in the 13400 block of Midlothian, near the Mount Pisgah Drive intersection, when a pickup truck hit a utility pole. The truck's driver was taken to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries, police said.
After utility crews made repairs, Midlothian's westbound lanes reopened shortly before daybreak.
