»  Comments | Post a Comment

Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer will deliver the keynote address at the 2012 Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner, the Democratic Party of Virginia announced Friday.

Sens. Jim Webb and Mark R. Warner, former Gov. Timothy M. Kaine and Reps. James P. Moran, D-8th, Robert C. "Bobby" Scott, D-3rd, and Gerald E. Connolly, D-11th, are also expected to attend the Feb. 11 event that will likely draw hundreds of Democrats from around the state.

Schweitzer spoke at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Past speakers at the Virginia Democrats' event have included former President Bill Clinton in 2009 and then-presidential contenders Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton in 2008.
