Richmond police are investigating a Saturday night shooting in North Richmond that claimed one man's life.
Police spokesman Gene Lepley said Sylvester Jones, 53, found about 10 p.m. with a gunshot wound in the 3900 block of Old Brook Road.
Jones, of the 2900 block of Hanes Avenue, was transported to VCU Medical Center, where he later died of his injuries, Lepley said.
Detectives are checking into reports that two black males were seen leaving the area. Lepley said both males have been described as being short with medium builds. One was wearing a red skull cap and black jacket. The other was wearing a green jacket.
