Richmond police are investigating a shooting yesterday afternoon in the 2300 block of Phaup Street that left the victim in critical condition, police said this morning.
Officers responded to a call about 3:19 p.m. and found a male shot in the arm and chest area. He was taken to Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center, said Capt. Dave Martin.
Further details or a suspect description were not immediately available, he said.
