Gov. Bob McDonnell and four of his predecessors helped to celebrate Richmond Times-Dispatch political reporter Tyler Whitley’s first 50 years with Richmond Newspapers Inc. yesterday.

Along with McDonnell,  former Govs. Jim Gilmore, L. Douglas Wilder, Gerald L. Baliles and Linwood Holton were in attendance.

Nearly 100 of Whitley’s current and former colleagues attended the celebration.
