SnagAJob.com again ranks among best small firms to work for
Henrico County-based SnagAJob.com is one of the nation's best small businesses to work for, according to a human-resource group and a consulting firm.
For the second straight year, the company, which operates a job-search Web site, was ranked third-best among businesses that employ up to 250 people.
The annual rankings, compiled by the Society for Human Resource Management and the Great Place to Work Institute, include the top 25 small and top 25 medium-sized companies in America.
More than 550 companies participated in this year's selection process, which includes a survey sent to each company's work force, plus a separate questionnaire for management. The Great Place to Work Institute also reviews the companies' policies.
SnagAjob.com's employee perks include a minimum of three weeks' paid vacation and education reimbursement up to $3,000, dry cleaning drop-off, and employee reimbursement for an on-site weekly fitness program.
Three other Virginia firms made the rankings. McDonough Bolyard Peck in Fairfax was ranked No. 24 among small firms.
Among medium-sized firms with up to 999 workers, Integrity Applications Inc. of Chantilly was No. 4 and Falls Church-based Noblis was No. 22.
