Dennis J. FitzSimons has been appointed to the board of directors of Media General and will be a member of the audit committee. He is with the Robert R. McCormick Foundation and formerly was with the Tribune Co.

Barbara Lenhardt has been named president of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Museum Store Association. She is with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.

New officers for the Virginia Gift Planning Council are: president, Wayne Olson with The Trust Company of Virginia; vice president, Susan K. Stoneman with Susan K. Stoneman; secretary, Teri S. Lovelace with the Community Foundation; and treasurer, Ellen E. Spong with SunTrust Bank.

New officers on the board of directors for the Virginia Voice audio information and reading service are: president, Jeffrey P. Chapman with RBC Wealth Management; vice president, Matthew A.
